17th September 2019 :

User Guide and App Ape Alpha

App Ape User Guide

This feature can be reached by visiting the the regular App Ape’s home page. This feature enables the user to quickly go through all the available features on App Ape with detailed step-by step process regarding each category.

Step 1: In the left hand side dialog box, you can see User Guide. Click on the menu item to access the User Guide page.

Step 2: After landing on the App Ape User Guide page, User can learn how to get started with App Ape. User can also find comprehensive guides and documentation to help the use to get started with App Ape, as well as help support whenever the user is in need.

App Ape Alpha

App Ape Alpha is a newly integrated feature on AppApe. Alpha is currently undergoing development, so the current product and data may change with time. This feature is free of charge and can be accessed by anyone.

Alpha’s main function is to look at average time spent, and total apps time spent by monthly/daily user of the top 100 apps.

Step 1: This feature can be accessed by clicking on the App Ape Alpha menu item in the left hand side dialog box on App Ape home page.

Step 2: After clicking on the item, the user is redirected to the below page where they can choose to access the alpha feature.

Step 3: Once entering the Alpha page, the user can quickly go through top 100 apps and see average time spent and total time spent by daily and monthly active users. Users can choose to change category, and Date Range

To view the time spent report of apps in detail, click on the desired app link on detail page link column.


17th July 2019 :

The app analysis platform “App Ape” has recently improved the “Favorites” feature to save any app as a bookmark.

Store rankings, and app usage information rankings can be added directly to favorites from the app usage information page. In addition to the “watch list” displayed on the top page of the dashboard, iOS and Android apps Registration process has become smoother.

The favorites display on the application usage information page is now bigger and easy to see.

How to use favorite function

Use favorite function from ranking

Step 1. Go to the ranking you want to check, click on the ⭐︎ mark on the right of the app name to register it as a favorite and complete registration (the star should turn blue).

Step 2. After clicking the star mark, a tab indicating the division of Android and iOS will be displayed, so you can register the watch list and other OS on the fly.

When you click the Arrow mark, a tab indicating the division of Android and iOS is displayed. Registration with other operating systems and watchlists can be done here.

※ You can set up to 6 apps for each registered Android and iOS OS in the watch list.

Use favorite function from application usage information

Step 1. Click “Favorites” on the right side of the application icon to complete registration (the color of the star turns blue).

Step 2. After clicking the ⭐︎ mark, a tab indicating the division of Android and iOS is displayed. You can register watch lists and other operating systems on the fly.

When you click the Arrow mark next to your favorite mark, a tab will be displayed showing the division of Android and iOS. Registration to other operating systems or watch lists can be done here.

※ You can set up to 6 apps for each registered Android and iOS OS in the watch list.

25th March 2019 :

  • Icons are now available for Android and iOS ! You can create shortcut of App Ape dashboard that directly appears on your home screen, such as the picture below.

Follow these steps to do it too :

On iOS
1. Launch the Safari app.
2. Connect to App Ape Dashboard (URL : https://dashboard.appa.pe/)
3. Tap on the Share button.
4. Tap on Add to Home Screen.

On Android
1. Launch Google Chrome browser app.
2. Connect to App Ape Dashboard (URL : https://dashboard.appa.pe/)
3. Tap on the Menu button.
4. Tap “Add to Home Screen.”



  • Apps with no data cannot be added to favorite and a pop-up message now appears when you hover your mouse over the “Add to favorite” link.


  • It is now possible to create groups of apps (up to 6 apps in each group) to keep tracking them over time. This feature is available in the “Compare Apps” category, once your selection is made you can click on “Save as Collection” on the right hand corner. Then, name your collection and save it 🙂

You can also replace existing apps in your collection with new ones. To do so simply click the collection you would like to edit, delete the app you do not need anymore, and choose the app you would like to add to the group. Once added, click on Save as Collection, overwrite the previous collection and then save changes.
